Overheard @ Burlington Mall

From what looked like a very able 6 year old boy (or he looked about that age) to his mother on her cell phone:

'Mom tie my shoe'.

Um tie it yourself! He looked old enough to know how to perform this task. Is this how lazy American kids are getting they can't even tie their own shoes? UGH
