I can't believe there are already Fall trunk shows! We haven't even had a beach day yet! But that said - I can't ignore some of the cool clothes I'm seeing for fall. I love this M Missoni Metallic Striped Dress! And looks like something you could wear on a summer night in August, why wait until fall?? The colors and the sparkles are just great. Wish I had an event to wear this to.

Prada Handbag
Loving this new Prada Nappa Delave Tote for spring and summer.
Although at $1,895.00 I think I may have to admire this one from afar.

What a fun bag!
How fun is this Fendi bag the Artist Baguette? It's a white canvas bag that comes with 10 permanent markers to design your own look.
However a few things wrong with this: It could turn into a really expensive arts and crafts project - you better not mess up your drawing on the first try it's permanent, and oh yea - to draw your own bag it's gonna set you back 1,300 bucks. 1,300 bucks to draw your own bag???? It's a fun and cute idea, but shit I'm going down to Michael's craft shop - picking up some cheap little bag (I already have tons of markers) and drawing on that sucker for like $30!

Neiman's First Mark
Sale was today and boy was it good!
I had a doctor's appointment today about my cold/allergies that I've had for a few weeks - which I found out has given me asthma! I got a prescription for an inhaler! UGH
Anyway, while I was in the area I figured I would check out Neiman's First Mark Sale. Everything was 40% off - even brand new stuff for one day only. Then I guess the First Call sale starts tomorrow, but not on new stuff... So I had to take advantage of that! I got 2 pairs of summer weight Theory pants (black and tan). I need to go get them hemmed because I'm not 6' tall.. Who do they make these pants for?? I got 3 t-shirts - blue, white, and green. A Brown/white jacket, a white/black/tan shirt, and a funky brown silk shirt with bright green flowers on it. All designer stuff, all discounted 40%! Woo hoo!!
They had super cute shoes on discount too, but I had to control myself (step away from the Pradas) - otherwise my little spending binge would have gone far north of $1,000 fast....

Juicy Couture
What's the deal with Juicy? I don't understand the appeal. To me it just looks cheap and cheesy with an expensive price tag.
For example here's a new hoodie from Juicy Couture. From the front it seems like a normal sweatshirt, but then the back takes it to a new level of ghetto. Why would one want a giant heart with Juicy written on their back? But forget the words the heart is enormous and ugly. Oh but wait there's more - it's got a 1980s style checkerboard pattern within the heart... even better! Who likes this and what is their reasoning??? Who spends $128 for a giant ugly checkerboard heart on your back? I guess plenty of people considering the popularity of this brand, but I don't understand WHY? To me clothes should be stylish and classic, stylish and sexy, or functional and basic (to perform a job) - this is none of those.

UM No Thanks
I love the ballet flat - super cute and looks great with skinny pants, capris, or skirts. I like the standard black, or even the cute metallic colors, but these Dolce & Gabbana Round Toe Flats take them too far - it's not really the color - it's the strange basket-weave pattern. Maybe they look much cuter actually on someone's foot.. or not... hard to tell. But from the photo, I'm not digging it.

Cute Patchwork Sandals
Loving these new Dolce and Gabbana Patchwork Sandals. Little bit on the pricey side ($895), but hey if you have that kind of money to spend... why not? They're pretty cute. Out of my price range for now.

Why Manolo, why?
Oh my.

I love Manolo Blahnik normally. In fact the top pair of shoes (Campari) I own in the black patent leather and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.
But I DON'T love them in Camouflage on these Campari Suede Mary Janes. Camo and high heel shouldn't mix!
And Camo and sparkly stuff REALLY shouldn't mix - like these Sedarby Camo-Print d'Orsay have done!!! BTW there are tons of cute prints - like snakeskin on the d'Orsay shoe already. Why Camo?? Why? Why?

cute cute cute!
Too bad I already have a dress (a purple Diane von Furstenberg) and shoes (black patent mary jane Manolo Blahniks) for a charity event I'm going to on Saturday.. because if I didn't I would be very tempted to buy these Spring Collection 2008 Manolos and then go find a dress to match.

Why?
These men's spring collection Gucci's are just plain ugly. And seriously what guy would wear these shoes at all? I don't know any guy that would wear them. And who wants to pay $600 for basically leather chucks?

Marimekko inspired Manolos
Manolo Blahnik's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection has some cute Mary Jane Slingbacks. Blahnik has used Marimekko’s patterns Bonbon and Mini-Unikko (which is the pattern shown) in his forthcoming collection.
I'm a little surprised the description of the shoes on Neiman's site doesn't mention that they are a Merimekko pattern?
Late last year Dolce and Gabbane produced a dress (and shoes) that looks almost exactly like this Marimekko pattern, but gave them no credit. Pretty strange. I don't know if anything happened about it - I haven't seen any updates on the web.

Metallics are still in for Spring
I've been looking at the new spring preview handbags and metallics are still hot, so is patent leather.
A cute Jimmy Choo:
Or a Michael Kors - wow is this expensive $3900 - I don't think can afford it any time soon, but it sure is cute:

Nanette Lepore Spring Trunk Show
Nanette Lepore has some cute outfits in their 2008 Spring Collection. Lots of black and white with hot pinks and bright yellows mixed in.
A perfect little black dress:
There's a cute shiny black rain coat too. It looks like patent leather in the photos, but it's polyurethane.
Right now Neiman's is giving a free umbrella with any $200 purchase. Which if you were already going to buy something, is pretty cool. AND they are giving away a $3500 Nanette Lepore Shopping Spree! Now that is very cool - I better win!

Looking forward to Spring...
It isn't even winter yet, and I am already looking forward to spring. This weather sucks. Somerville hasn't even plowed my road! I haven't heard a plow all night long, where are they?? I thought they were supposed to be better after the last storm? I know there are less cars on the road today, so where the hell are the plows? The only vehicle I have heard is the firetruck leaving the station across the street from my house.
Since I'm stuck in my house I started checking out the new spring shoe collections. I mean what else is there to do until 1pm when the Pats start playing?
And I am seriously concerned about the game with this weather - mainly because I am in the playoffs in my Fantasy Football league. I had the bye last week - which was cool, but the Pats did awesome. Now in this weather... who knows I'm worried. I may lose in the playoffs. I have been #1 in the league with wins and points and now I could loose because of a stupid storm!!! ARGH!!! I have Brady, Moss, Pats defense, and I play Gaffney today too! I could be screwed. I know the Pats play well in bad weather, but this is *really* bad weather.
Ok back to shoes I can't stress about that any more until 1pm. Then I will really start stressing...
so one of Prada's new spring wedges is super cute. They have it in Black and Silver. I think I want the Silver one. The black one is cute too, but I have a lot of black shoes. I need to pre-order it Bergdorf's and Neiman's have it. Ohh and I have a $50 Neiman's gift card.. Sweet!

Pretty in Pink
Who doesn't love a little pink every now and then?
These Christian Louboutin's are just perfect! They could look great with a little black dress. Hmmm I need to get invited to some holiday parties so I can go shoe shopping!

I gasped when I saw this purse
Wow do I love this Leiber purse at Neiman Marcus!
I love 1920s art deco, and modern art deco inspired designs. I really love this. I cannot afford this at all at $2,795.00, but I really wish I could. I would keep this forever as a work of art - not as a purse. If it looks this awesome in a photo, I can only imagine how much better it looks in person.
Maybe I need to start saving for that now and hope there are still some in stock by the time I get the money.

Want some Rocks with that Dress?
So I've been looking at Neiman's Resort collection and UM what's up with this dress? Normally I like Stella McCartney, but this dress - I just don't get.
It's like a bunch of rocks strangely placed on a dress. What is this pattern? Sure it's creative and different, but where would you wear this? And it looks like it's see through. You have to buy something to wear under it and who wants a dress under another dress - unless you're a slut and don't care and just wear it with nothing :P
Actually, looking at it closer it's fabric balls, not rocks. I don't like them. the only think I like about this is that it's silk.
